擯治

(擯治, 摈治)

The punishment of expulsion, which is of three orders:

(1) [lang id =1028]擯出 expulsion from a particular monastery or nunnery, to which there may be a return on repentance;

(2) [lang id =1028]默擯 prohibition of any intercourse;

(3) [lang id =1028]滅擯 entire expulsion and deletion from the order.
